Any serious pigeon shooter will tell you that, sooner or later, circumstances will conspire to enable you to make a huge bag. Whether you will be able to take advantage of those circumstances is another matter. The following is an account of a remarkable dayÕs decoying that my shooting partner, Paul, and I enjoyed a couple of years ago.
Several favourable criteria have to fall into place to make any kind of bag – even on an average day’s decoying. In this instance, one of the top “killing fields” on one of my best farms was drilled with peas and we’d already had five days of more than 100 birds.
