“Summer ferreting isnÕt for everyone, but the task is a major part of the job” It feels like only yesterday that we were carrying out a large-scale rabbit cull in the Hebrides. But time flies and it was more than two years ago when the weather was beating us from side to side as we went about our work. The initial cull was only the first part of the project – the aim being to cut down numbers over the first three months so that the remainder of the rabbits could be kept under control by one person.
