Vote for BASC council BASC has urged its members to exercise their vote in the council’s forthcoming election. Ten candidates are to contest two national seats, while a single candidate is standing for the Northern Irish seat. BASC is one of the most prominent shooting organisations in the UK and the council is its governing body, elected by the membership. The vote comes at a time when pressing issues such as the status of the general licences and the phased move away from lead shot has put BASC in the spotlight.
