Rabbits cause all manner of problems, depending on the environment they inhabit, and it never ceases to amaze me how destructive they can be. Just seven of these amazing little creatures can graze on a par with a sheep and, in addition, their digging capabilities can make an area look like a war zone. Neither of these ‘qualities’ is beneficial when it comes to areas kept for equine uses. This is an issue that I’m often asked to resolve. Racehorse trainers, those who keep polo ponies and eventers are some of my typical customers. Their horses are all potentially at risk from the problems associated with the humble bunny.
