Venison and Stilton parcels
A tasty package meal
Ingredients
1 venison fillet about 1lb in weight Oil 3oz blue Stilton cheese 1/2 tsp dried tarragon 4 tbsp cream pepper 5 sheets filo pastry 2oz melted butter lime juice to serve Method
Bash the steak with a rolling pin until it’s about an inch thick. Heat some oil in a frying pan and quickly seal the meat in the hot oil. Allow to cool, then cut into four pieces. Grate the cheese and mix it with the tarragon, cream and black pepper, then spread the mixture over the steaks. Brush one sheet of filo pastry with butter and wrap around one steak to make a leak-proof parcel. Place on a baking sheet and brush with butter. Repeat with the rest of…
