In January my three-year-old labrador was attacked by another male lab in a beaters’ trailer. This has caused fear aggression in him and he has quite badly bitten other male dogs since. I’ve taken him to a trainer who said to try to avoid situations that triggered my dog. He is fine with castrated males and all females. We have chemically castrated him; however, when I took him to my syndicate, he still bit a dog as it walked past him. I’m at the stage where I can’t take him shooting, which is such a shame as he is a fantastic gundog.
