Nathan Hales leads British Trap team to victory

Nathan Hales won two silver medals, a gold and an Olympic quota place at the ISSF Shotgun World Championships in Osijek, Croatia recently. The 26-year-old Trap shooter’s first medal, and quota place, came from the men’s individual Trap event. He started with a wobbly qualification round before regaining his composure in the medal match. Here a score of 31ex35 placed him two breaks behind USA’s Derrick Mein and on the second step of the podium. Nathan then returned to the stands with Olympic quota place winner Lucy Hall for the Mixed Team competition. The duo proved their worth by claiming a silver medal in a very tense medal match against a sharpshooting Italian duo.
