TRUST: The new FAA recreational flier certification

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has announced that all recreational fliers must pass an aeronautical knowledge and safety test and provide proof of test passage (The Recreational UAS Safety Test, or TRUST, completion certificate) to the FAA or law enforcement upon request. A recreational flier is someone who operates their drone for fun or personal enjoyment purposes only. You may take the free online test through any of the approved test administrators listed at faa.gov/uas/recreational_fliers/knowledge_test_updates. The first section of the TRUST test provides you with the information needed to pass the test. The second section is a series of multiple-choice questions. You cannot fail the test.
