As ek siek is en dokter toe moet gaan, is dit een van die tye wat ek Afrikaans wil praat, want om in Engels te moet stotter oor wat my nou eintlik makeer, gaan my sommer nóg sieker maak! Ek lees nou die dag iets raak wat aktrise Marion Holm vertel. Sy het in die apteek se ry gestaan om te hoor wat sy kan aansmeer op die plekke waar muggies haar bygekom het. Toe weet sy nie wat muggies in Engels is nie! Sy sê as sy oorsee met hierdie dilemma was, sou niemand haar kon help nie. In Suid-Afrika (en in die apteek) was daar darem iemand wat kon vertaal. Die Afrikaanse taal is seker dié belangrikste ding wat ek wil bewaar. Ek het in Afrikaans grootgeword, werk…
