En solo En trois décennies, “Jump For Joy” n’est que le second disque solo de Gary Louris, treize ans après “Vagabonds”, son quasi-contraire: il y était produit (par Chris Robinson), très accompagné (un all star Laurel Canyon des années 2000, avec Jonathan Wilson, Jenny Lewis, Susanna Hoffs) et presque monumental par son ambition “All Things Must Pass”, là où “Jump For Joy” est insulaire et sciemment “mineur”. Il jure qu’on attendra le prochain moins longtemps. En duo(s) Fâché puis re-fâché avec Mark Olson, Louris s’est réconcilié avec lui le temps d’un retour aux Jayhawks canal historique (“Mockingbird Time” en 2011) et d’un merveilleux album à deux voix “Ready For The Flood” (2008), qui contient certaines de ses plus grandes chansons (la paire fingerpickée “Saturday Morning On Sunday Street” / “Black Eyes”).
