Everyone has their own system for coping with foul conditions. My preference is for good base layers with a heated jacket and gloves, wrapped securely in a GoreTex suit. For really cold rides, heated innersoles can make a huge difference, too. Helmet choice matters, as it’s especially important to find one that will remain mist-free while coping with the glare of a low winter sun.
