“I have a dislike of neglected motorcycles” I DON’T HAVE any kind of compulsive disorder. Just a dislike of neglected motorcycles — what’s more sad than a perfectly good machine left to rot when a couple of minutes here and there could make a huge difference to it? So I am keen on cleaning. I wash the bike most weekends (definitely if I’ve done more than 500 miles) and in winter I do sluice the salt and muck off after every ride. I have, it must be said, variable standards when it comes to the actual cleaning bit. Sometimes I set out to get the bike clean… sometimes just getting it cleaner is good enough. Especially if it’s raining. I hate washing bikes when it’s raining. Look, it’s not OCD… A quick wash…
