THE GOOD NEWS is that you don’t have to spend big bucks to get dry feet. The Oxford Explorer — one of the least expensive boots in the test — shows that it is possible to get properly waterproof boots without breaking the bank. The catchily named RST Paragon II CE WP also costs £119.99 and turned in an almost-as-impressive performance on the waterproof front, while raising the comfort and protection bar just enough to beat the Oxfords to the coveted Best Buy award.
