IT’S EASY TO get the wrong idea about Bishop’s Stortford, if all you know of it is what you see from the M11 as you peel off to Stansted Airport. So don’t sit on the M11 — spend time instead on the brilliant biking roads that run through this corner of East Anglia. STAGE ONE Bishop’s Stortford to Sandy 45 miles Leave Bishop’s Stortford on the A120 to Hertford. At the A10 roundabout, turn right towards Cambridge. At the next roundabout turn right on the B1368 to Puckeridge and follow the road for four miles. Take the left turn in Hare Street for the B1038 to Buntingford.
