LIVING WITH HIDDEN DISABILITY In our August issue, podcast host Hannah Witton wrote about how her body confidence has evolved since she began living with a stoma bag. Her account was one Tracy Webb could relate to. ‘I, too, was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis, actually on my 13th birthday,’ Tracy wrote. ‘I tried lots of medications and was in and out of hospital with tests but, unfortunately, could never get the disease into remission. Two weeks after my 17th birthday, I had the same surgery Hannah had to remove my colon and was given a stoma bag. It was, of course, a hard time. I still wanted to be a typical 17-year-old, going out with my friends and exploring the world, but I struggled with the stoma bag. I felt paranoid…
