In Defense of the Pink & Bling

Everybody has an opinion about pink guns. Some people love them because it’s their favorite color, or perhaps because they appreciate the nod to women being welcomed to gun ownership. Others hate them because they find the color ugly or condescending — or consider them merely a low-effort attempt at inclusiveness. Of course, it’s not really about pink guns only or specifically (or even purple guns in my case). Similar feelings come up with any kind of firearm that isn’t plain black — guns with shiny, chrome finishes; guns with fluted barrels or jeweled bolts; guns with any number of paint jobs from flat dark earth to digital camouflage … and everything in between.
