Academy of American Poets WALLACE STEVENS AWARD Naomi Shihab Nye of San Antonio, Texas, won the 2024 Wallace Stevens Award. Nye, whose most recent collection is Grace Notes: Poems About Family (HarperCollins, 2024), received $100,000. The Academy’s board of chancellors judged. The annual award is given to a poet to “recognize outstanding and proven mastery in the art of poetry.” There is no application process. ACADEMY OF AMERICAN POETS FELLOWSHIP Evie Shockley of Jersey City won the 2024 Academy of American Poets Fellowship.
