ENCODYA’s attempt at merging Blade Runner and Studio Ghibli has plenty of charm.

Have a baby, get a free robot! When that baby ends up on the streets at the age of six, however, something has gone very wrong. Tina and SAM-53 have been living rough for three years, their shelter on a Neo-Berlin rooftop covered by a leaky tarpaulin. SAM needs oil, Tina is hungry and cold. The game starts with fetch quests, and there will be a lot more before the credits roll, but they’re extra-poignant when applied to one so small. Their relationship is much more than a Big Daddy/Little Sister pairing. He’s sworn to protect her, she gets him to break the law, but clearly loves and trusts him, remembering the lullabies he sang to her.
