Don’t let CYBER SHADOW get lost, like tears in the rain.

Remember shoulder pads, Rubik’s Cubes, wishing you were in The Breakfast Club, and dancing around your bedroom to Duran Duran on your Walkman? I don’t, because I was born in the ’90s, but Cyber Shadow makes me feel like I was there all the same. This 8-bit ninja side-scroller is dripping with the veneer of ’80s cool, from the Transformer-style bots, ridiculous motorbike sections, and the NES era Ninja Gaiden-inspired cutscenes. Cyber Shadow is a more concentrated experience than most in this genre, putting more emphasis on combat, as well as being a tad more forgiving. Retro action side-scroller is such a crowded genre that it’s difficult to avoid comparison to others, but Cyber Shadowdoes enough to carve out a unique niche for itself.
