Scotland tia the easy route 1955 Jaguae XK140 SEPTEMBER’S CONCOURS OF ELEGANCE, held at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in Edinburgh, turned out to be a fabulous celebration of superb motor cars (see last issue). The setting in Scotland was breathtaking and enthusiasts from all over the world enjoyed each other’s company as well as superb driving through the heather-covered hills. The Octane Tour on the Sunday promised to be interesting as a number of exciting cars had signed up for it. In a fit of optimism I volunteered to take part in my Jaguar too, though it needed a bit of attention before the off.
