IF YOU CAN’ beat the seasonal cold, you may as well make the most of it – and The Winter Trial does exactly that. For its third annual running, this exhilarating and demanding event will venture into the northern reaches of Europe to discover more snowy and icy roads in Norway and Sweden. Starting and finishing near Oslo, ‘the toughest winter event’ will challenge driver, navigator and machinery as it takes in stunning scenery, mountain passes, and plenty of frozen lakes and circuits. January’s short days and long nights will make for even more exciting action, incorporating 10 circuit tests, 30-plus regularity trials and two night loops.
