Ignorance really is bliss. Ever since I took that right turn at the fork in the road eight years ago, which steered me from drag racing to circuit racing, the main thing I’ve learnt about circuit racing is that I was much better at it before I started. It’s easy to know that you’d be great at something you’ve never done.
