A Look at the First Coins of 2025

As 2024 ended and 2025 began, there were few significant changes to 2024-dated coins. The annual proof and silver proof sets were of the most sizable increases, about 4,000 each. However, with the new year comes new coins, most notably the U.S. Marine Corps 250th Anniversary commemorative coins. The commemoratives include a $5 gold coin, a silver dollar, and a clad half dollar. All three are available in Proof or Uncirculated. We’ve also entered the first of the 2025 American Innovation dollars, the first of the year being Arkansas. The reverse design features Raye Montague, the designer of the U.S. Navy’s Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigate.
