Many of us spend our collecting energies entirely on modern or classic United States coin series, which undoubtedly can be a lot of fun. There is history, artistry, and some neat economics all included in the field. But in the big, wide world of numismatics, there are other series that might attract our attention as well. One that is not all that far from home and that has some fascinating history to it is the British half crown. Let’s see if there are some bargains in this long-running denomination.
