WHAT CAUSES US TO LOSE THEM? Caroline says that external factors such as UV exposure, low humidity and seasonal changes can all deplete skin lipids. Also doing us no favours? A misguided skincare regime – which could involve the overuse of exfoliants, and harsh cleansing products with oil-stripping ingredients such as SD alcohol.
