FULL-SIZE YUKON/BLAZER FOUR-DOOR IN ’96 GMC Truck sources say the decision has been made to go forward with lengthening the full-size Yukon/Chevrolet Blazer sport/utility vehicles to gain a model with an additional set of doors. The revamped four-door four-wheel-driver is expected to be introduced as a ’96 model, fitting into a slender product niche between the regular-length Yukon and the Suburban. The Yukon and its siblings will also get an exterior redesign for ’96. They follow the aerodynamic styling lead of the ’94 Sonoma pickup truck (Detroit Report, May ’93), incorporating a matching “family face” that includes a swept-back grille, rounded sheetmetal corners, and softer overall features.
