Overwhelming approval from U.S. dealers has helped convince Jaguar Cars to build its first station wagon prototype by JaguarSport is propelled by Jag’s 223-horse-power 4.0-liter straight-six, but a 200-horsepower 3.2-liter model also may be offered. The only previous Jaguar wagon made in any numbers—called Eventer and produced independently by Lynx, Engineering on England—was based in the XJS, but Jaguar’s own will be spun off the XJ6 platform.
