Mitsubishi’s 3000GT VR-4 is one mighty respectable stormer right out of the box. But for a handful of right-thinking performance junkies at Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America, mighty respectable just wasn’t quite good enough. Working in conjunction with highly regarded speed merchants HKS USA, Inc., of Torrance, California, 310/3288100, they decided to create a street-legal project car that would showcase the ultimate potential of this all-wheel-drive grand tourer. As a suitable exclamation point, the high-velocity VR-4 was given a Mitsubishi Ralliart competition paint scheme.
HKS is no stranger to 3000GT tweaking, but this Stage VI upgrade represents its most extensive effort to date.
