The idea of witnessing a band like Knocked Loose forced to play without the energy of a crowd beating seven bells out of each other to feed off, doesn’t seem that appealing on paper. Yet Live From The Blue Room is a surprisingly classy affair from the Kentucky quintet, now boasting new guitarist Nicko Calderon. Beginning with a 10-minute countdown of glitchy images, the band emerge with the acerbic clout of By The Grave, with frontman Bryan Garris still intent on jumping across every inch of the stage. The set is dominated by 2019’s more experimental A Different Shade Of Blue, which lends itself to the moodier surroundings and visuals on the giant screen flanking them.
