To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Satellite, Christian nu metallers, P.O.D. announced a streaming concert series titled Satellite Over Southtown. Tonight is the first of three events and sees them playing the album in its entirety from their hometown of San Diego, staying true to the tracklist order, with the sole exception of Guitarras De Amor, which opens the show and builds the atmosphere as we pan over Petco Park. The stage is in one corner of the empty stadium, but the show is intimate and energetic and, as cameras shift between would-be-crowd views and the drum cam, it is the next best thing to being there.
