Inside the Jim Beam distillery in Kentucky, USA and the city that saw it born...

I’m in Louisville, Kentucky. It’s cold; you can barely see the sun through the clouds. Luckily, I’m off to the Jim Beam American Stillhouse in Clermont, just 30 minutes away from the capital, to ‘warm up’. The landscape is like a scene from The Walking Dead — but without the zombies and pure tranquility — due to the leave-covered grounds, very few cars and wooden-built homes. When you arrive at the distillery, the first thing that catches the eye is a large warehouse with the brand’s infamous logo. This place has been here since 1933 because James Beam (fourth generation Beam) lived very near so he didn’t have to do long trips to get to work.
