The Lion in Winter

The male lion is a magnificent beast. Worldwide, it is used as an emblem on flags, badges and coins. The lion embodies power and strength and is one of Africa’s most desirable trophies. Our photographs of lions were what captured the attention of Tom Radford and his wife June. I was employed by Wengert Windrose Safaris Tanzania; it was February, and Company Directors Franz and Lindie Wengert were with me in our booth at the SCI hunting convention in Nevada, USA. Tom and June had a lion hunt uppermost in their minds. They returned to our booth several times to interrogate us before paying the deposit and sealing the deal with a firm handshake.
