Meet our Contributors: Tom Caceci Tom’s main interests are in the history and technology behind firearms, especially the transition between flintlock and fixed ammunition. These days he does most of his hunting with black powder firearms, and has written several articles which deal with pin-fire ignition and the basics of black powder hunting. An avid hunter, Tom enjoys hunting deer and squirrel in his home state of Virginia in the USA. He has hunted Africa on three occasions, and on his latest trip fulfilled his 50-year-old ambition to shoot an elephant. His favourite animal to hunt is the squirrel, as their crafty nature forces the hunter to learn patience, stealth and woodcraft.
