The antics of our friends and family are likely to be one of the most common reasons for us to whip out our iPhone and snap a shot. As a result our Mac will be packed full of people pictures, causing us to wade through hundreds of shots to find photos of particular individuals. Apple has eased this chore by giving Photos the power to recognize specific people; it will scan pictures and gather them into collections based on faces it finds. It isn’t infallible though and may not recognize a friend wearing a hat for example, and will collect faces of strangers in the background.
