If you send images to people using the Mail app, you might want to annotate them first. And the good news is that you don’t need a separate image-editing app for this purpose as everything you need is in the Mail app. You can use the Markup extension in macOS to annotate images. It is a brilliant feature, but we will take this a step further and show you how to use the Markup tool to annotate maps and send them by email. You might want to point out the location of your home, your work, landmarks or meeting places for example. It is a great way to combine Maps’ sharing features with Mail’s Markup tool.
