The Contacts app in macOS is often underused, but it remains the best place to store information for everyone you know. It’s flexible enough to import information from a number of places, including social networks like Facebook and LinkedIn, and powerful enough to grab tidbits from rival services like Google and Microsoft Exchange. Once you’re set up, it will update all that information as it changes, while iCloud keeps you perfectly synced up so that if you update someone’s information on your iPhone, that contact sheet is then updated on your Mac or Apple Watch. That’s the beauty of Apple’s operating systems – if you spend some time getting things right, it’ll keep itself updated without you having to put any effort in.
