Are you using two-factor authentication (2FA) to protect your Apple ID? You should be because it offers extra security that helps prevent hackers and thieves accessing your iTunes Store account, iCloud and other Apple services. Two-factor authentication makes use of your Mac and phone (iPhone or Android), and it creates a trusted device. When any new computer, phone or tablet tries to log in to an Apple service using your ID, a six-digit code is required. This is displayed on your trusted device. So even if a hacker got hold of your username and password, they still couldn’t get into your account because they wouldn’t have access to the code. You’d also be alerted and could then block them.
