Use the latest features in Mail to add new contacts and make appointments in seconds

Mail benefited from an intelligence boost in El Capitan – it now spots certain items from messages in your inbox and makes clever suggestions. It scans the text of messages for mentions of meetings and appointments. It looks for days of the week, dates and times and when these are found, it enables you to add them as Calendar events. The trick is that you don’t need to leave Mail. Brilliant! It is common for people to include contact details at the end of an email and Mail recognises this and lets you add the sender to your contacts with minimal effort.
