The Automator app is easily overlooked, tucked away as it is within your Mac’s Applications folder. However, this is a very useful tool and can save you a great deal of time across a range of projects. Using a simple drag-anddrop interface, Automator lets you automate monotonous tasks to speed up your workflow. You start out by choosing a type of action – this could be a workflow, calendar, alarm etc – and then dragging and dropping commands to make a sequence from an extensive library of actions. Each action you drag and drop into the main workflow space will have its own set of options to adjust to meet your requirements.
