Q I’ve just knitted a stack of squares for a baby blanket, but I’m not sure how to join them together! Priaa Amin, Leicester A Sophie says: Before you begin, I recommend blocking all your squares to the same measurement to ensure your blanket lies nice and flat. I’d also suggest you join your squares as long rows first, working all the vertical edges, edge to edge. Then join them horizontally (along the cast-on and cast-off edges) to create full rows of blanket. The easiest join is a simple over stitch, while edge-to-edge stitch is also a good join as it’s virtually hidden. Or you can crochet your squares together.
