Soms vra God van ons om ágter die skerms Sy vrede op aarde te bring – en dis goed so.

Neffens my stoel het die mandjie gestaan waarin ek ’n kleurryke versameling wol met my saamgedra het. Hekel was nog altyd die perfekte teenvoeter vir my rustelose geaardheid, wat dié kalmerende, ritmiese handwerk soms so nodig het. Die herhalende aksie met pen en wol help op die een of ander manier om die onstuimigheid in my hart te laat bedaar. My hart was nog altyd onstuimig omdat ek oor sulke gróót dinge gedroom het: Ek wou boeke skryf wat lewens sal verander, voor duisende mense getuig en hulle hart aanraak, oor die wêreld heen reis en die armes versorg. Ek wou deel wees van die gemeenskap waaroor daar in Handelinge 4:32 geskryf staan: “Die groot getal wat gelowig geword het, was een van hart en siel. Niemand het sy goed…
