As kind het hy vanuit sy kamervenster afgekyk op hope bourommel. Daar word steeds gebou en verbeter aan dié versteekte juweel in die hart van die Goudstad wat ook as The Secret Garden bekend is. Van bouers of bouwerk is ek egter nie bewus wanneer ek dié verskuilde koninkryk, deesdae ’n gesogte trouvenue, betree nie. Die hoofgebou van sandsteen uit die omgewing is ’n klipkasteel in die styl van Herbert Baker met ruim vertrekke, ’n staandak en ’n breë voorstoep wat met rankplante gedrapeer…
