Ma’s staan in rye by skole, baklei met onderwysers (en ander ma’s), neul haar kinders flou, werk dubbelskofte, help tot middernag met take, sit vol vertroue weer kool voor (“Dis héérlik!”), neem geïrriteerd net nog een foto, bel rond om afsprake te maak en sal álles doen wat sy kan om haar kind ’n beter kans te gee. Ma’s gee en gee. Ja, hoe wonderlik! Onthou egter ook die grootste geskenk, Ma, wat jou kind die beste kans nóg sal gee: Aanvaar haar werklik volkome!…
