Kristi Ellen Theron staar met groot, koelblou oë na die vormpies op my bostuk terwyl haar ma haar babapap voer. Buite in die tuin kwetter die voëls só luidkeels dat jy dit selfs op die tweede verdieping kan hoor. Hoewel daar geen musiek speel nie, is dit asof daar ’n wiegelied deur die huis sweef. En wanneer Kristi in die hoofslaapkamer slaap, is ’n mens selfs in die sitkamer intens bewus van haar teenwoordigheid. ’n Kosbare kleinood, amper heilig. Sy is immers ’n wonderwerk in lewende lywe… Bewus van God se genade “Ons staan verwonderd oor haar en ek sê elke dag vir die Here dankie,” vertel die Helenè vergenoegd. Daar’s ’n vrede om haar, in haar – só anders as vier jaar gelede. Die een oomblik was sy swanger…
