C’est ce que l’on appelle l’« effet drapeau ». Marginalisé depuis la dissolution, Emmanuel Macron voit les désordres du monde lui profiter. Les soubresauts de Donald Trump aux États-Unis et les doutes sur l’avenir de l’alliance transatlantique lui permettent d’enregistrer un regain de légitimité. Il progresse ainsi de 5 points dans notre baromètre Cluster 17 mensuel pour atteindre 23 % d’opinions positives. « C’est la première fois qu’il remonte depuis les européennes », confirme Stéphane Fournier, de l’institut de sondage. Le Premier ministre, François Bayrou, se maintient quant à lui à 25 %. Le chef de l’État n’est pas seul à voir l’actualité internationale influer sur sa popularité.
