A sunroof on your vehicle is nice. If it isn’t jammed; doesn’t leak in one corner when you park on a side slope; hasn’t been glued with silicone by a previous owner; doesn’t need the drain tubes blowing clear of debris; doesn’t have a bent locking catch… My Freelander 2’s sunroof bucks the trend: motors whirr, glass lifts and slides, a mesh bug-catcher thingy springs up, nothing leaks. Maybe I’m a bit of a saddo, but I must admit I get pleasure just from the fact that everything works. Then sunshine floods in, and life just gets happier. I use the sunroof whenever I can, even in winter. But into every life a little rain must fall. Or, in this case, soapy water. And anti-freeze. On reflection, it probably wasn’t…
