As brainbox quiz Only Connect prepares for its 500th episode, Inside TV put some questions to host Victoria Coren… Hi Victoria! Why is the show so popular? We can all laugh together if a question is ridiculously difficult, – and the show assumes the audience is made up of bright, engaged, curious people with an interest in the world around them, even if they only get one question right per series and do cartwheels round the living room. If someone’s never seen it, why should they? I think it is the most difficult quiz that is on TV, and people should tune in for an opportunity to be glad that they are not actually on the programme!
