Shelly Frome is the author of Shadow of the Gypsy which was awarded a Distinguished Favorite Cross Genre in the 2023 Independent Press Award. In addition to numerous works of fiction and nonfiction, Shelly is a professor of dramatic arts emeritus at the University of Connecticut, a former professional actor, and has penned more than twenty-five plays. Shadow of the Gypsy is a mystery/thriller that follows the journey of protagonist Josh as he tries to escape his past and survive the present.
