John and his partner Kim have a passion for sustainable building materials and were considering building their home underground. After visiting a sustainability fair and learning about the benefits of Hebel® , they decided it was the ideal material to build their Southern Highlands home with. They wanted to build using a sustainable material that would not intrude on the environment but be embraced by it. Inspired by Adobe mud brick houses, they used Hebel® to achieve this desired look.
