Lo más cómodo es aterrizar en el de Marco Polo, a 12 kilómetros. También existe la opción de volar al de Treviso, a unos 40 kilómetros, en el que operan compañías de bajo coste. Venecia está muy bien conectada con otras ciudades italianas en tren, que llegan a la céntrica estación de Santa Lucía. Para moverse por la ciudad, y por las islas de la laguna, lo más económico es el vaporetto; lo más glamuroso es en taxi acuático, como las estrellas de su famoso Festival Internacional de Cine; y lo más romántico, en góndola.
